What Wedding Dress Neckline Style Is Right For You?

Each woman has a different figure, but there are a few figure “types” that you could probably be classified into.

Certain styles only flatter certain figures, and by the time you get married you’ll probably have figured out which fashion trends to avoid and which staples constantly work.

But wedding dresses are far different than a simple daily outfit, and the style of neckline that you should choose is highly dependent on your figure and bust type.  It’s important to learn which types look flattering, because alterations to the neckline typically aren’t feasible.

Thin women with average sized breasts, like a B or a small C, usually look good in pretty much anything.  V-neck dresses especially flatter this bust size, but should be avoided by those with especially large or small breasts.

Strapless wedding gowns are easily the most popular, but there are a couple different options even within this style type. Some Wedding Dress One Shoulder Style resized 600necklines on strapless wedding gowns will go straight across, while others are in what is described as a sweetheart style.  As expected, instead of being straight this neckline follows the lines of the top half of a heart.  Both styles, especially the sweetheart, are flattering for women with larger busts.

Another good option for those who are more heavily endowed is the halter neckline.  This style provides more support and can provide an option that is modest, yet still shows off the figure.  This is a good option for women with broad shoulders, but those with narrow shoulders should steer clear.

Those who have a small bust and nice shoulders might want to opt for the jewel neckline, as it sits at the base of the throat and can make someone small look bustier.

Even though it’s a high neckline, choosing a sleeveless style wedding gown can show off the figure.  Pretty much any style will look good on a woman with a smaller bust, especially the one-shoulder option that is gaining popularity.
